Artesania Rinconada Figurine Flamingo # 174 Retired 2004, very cute bird figurine.

This little figurine made in Uruguay distributed by John J. Madison, Co. Inc. The Artesania Rinconada Collection was started in the early 1970's by twin brothers Jesus and Javier Carbajales of Montevideo, Uraguay. Each Artesania Rinconada figurine is carved by hand and detailed with fine grain earthware ceramic material. After the first kiln firing,the figurines are hand-painted with colored slips and enamel glazes to accent the individual design characteristics. Then, each enamel glaze must be re-fired individually in order to preserve its unique coloration.

Estimated to be from the 1980's, originally made 1984. Height approx. 3 in X 2 in W.

This is in excellent condition.
